1925 Wurlitzer Model-D Pipe Organ for Sale

1925 Wurlitzer Model-D 2/7 Pipe Organ – SOLD – Thank you for looking!

Going to a good home near St. Louis for restoration, yeah!

Up for sale is this 1920 original Wurlitzer Model-D

The late owner was Dr John Hamrick of Lenoir NC where it was installed in his private residence when I got it. I

It is believed to be opus 958 from the
Van Croix Theater
1111 E. New Haven Avenue, Melbourne, FL 32901

See this link for more http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/10105

The specification exactly matches this list;
http://www.savetheorgan.org/stoplists/new_orleans_orpheum.pdf (Verified)

Now, I can not find an opus number on the organ but I did find a “500” stamped on the relay

This list shows that opus 958 did have a 500 attached to it (perhaps the spec?)

That’s all I know, plus I have an original printed Wurlitzer opus list (cross-ref) which should be worth something I will include.

The organ is in storage in Sevierville, TN  approx. 40 miles east of Knoxville.  After Jan 1, 2019 it will incur $200/mo storage fees so that will be the deadline to pick it up or assume the fees.

I would consider donating it to a non-profit if you can provide the proper tax related paperwork and pick it up by the deadline or assume the storage fees.

The asking price is exactly what I have in the original purchase price and moving fees however I have about doubled that in additional moving and storage fees over the years, it must go now or be parted out which would be a shame, please save the organ!!!

There are many more pictures, download the following links to view them.

Please also note, the original bench shown in the above photo is NOT available, I did acquire a similar style bench and it will be included as well as many extra pipes and parts not pictured.  Also there is a Pipe organ lamp and small Thomas xylophone shown in a few of the pictures which is not included.

Asking price is $5000 or OBO, please contact Jeff at email: jmayes@jmayes.com, (865) 567-1313
